That “Other Susan” has beaten me to some of my bucket list Caribbean Islands.

Susan boarded the Emerald Sakara in Saint Martin for a cruise around the Leeward Islands.🚤⛵⚓
I was rather envious of her not only boarding a luxury yacht that I have had my eye on, but also visiting Jost Van Dyke and #Anguilla. While I was at sea I did tick of Saint Martin, Virgin Gorda and St Barts, but there are still so many smaller islands on my radar.

You may already know I spent 10 years at sea with @princesscruises and here is a photo of me in my younger days, when I was a Senior Purser managing the Shore Excursion Department. 🚢
Before you ask, yes I did experience sailing on the America’s Cup Yachts when we docked in St Maarten, it was the most popular tour we sold in the #Caribbean.

With the Caribbean topping many 2025 travel wish lists—and the biting winter cold outside - I can’t help but reminisce about my recent stay at Mount Cinnamon in Grenada.

This boutique gem delivered lush tropical vibes, jaw-dropping views over Grand Anse Beach (spoiler: it’s as gorgeous as they say!), and thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special.

Candle-making classes, the most delicious King Fish at the Beach Cabana, and a short stroll to Umbrella’s Beach Bar—it was Caribbean bliss at its best... (link in bio)

Well it’s time to leave the warmth of the #UAE.
I finished off in style with 2 nights at the @anantaradowntowndubai. Enjoyed a beautiful room on the 19th floor, no good for anyone who fears heights.
I would highly recommend a twin stay as great to see the city, but did miss the calm of @anantararasalkhaimah .

Susan has now travelled an hour north of #Dubai to the @anantararasalkhaimah .

It’s a stunning 5* hotel situated on its own private peninsula on the Arabian Gulf. The hotel even has water villas perched over its mangrove lagoon. I was given a Deluxe room and don’t get too excited, but I did a little room video for you to enjoy at a later stage. I want the excitement to build😄.

It’s a perfect spot to relax after the excitement of Dubai. I hear it’s a little chilly in the UK, so thought it would be a good idea to test out the sea and pool temperatures, both were just fine.🏖🌞

I can’t fault the food and Half Board here entitles you to use the amazing buffet restaurant or either of the 2 al a carte restaurants.

Once I leave here, I have one more hotel to enjoy. Stay tuned for more from me. xx
